After almost a year in beta, Microsoft has officially released its small business bookkeeping program, Office Small Business Accounting.
Microsoft intends to leverage its Office suite in this release. However, in order to really take advantage of this package, a copy of Office 2003 that includes Outlook with Business Contact Manager is necessary. That's because Microsoft has integrated the process of a sales quote in the Business Contact Manager turning into an order in Small Business Accounting. Another example is trying to capture billable hours by marking appointments in Outlook with BCM as billable and having that information sent directly to SBA.
Microsoft is offering Small Business Accounting 2006 as a stand-alone product for $179.00. There is currently a coupon for 30.00 off available on Microsoft's website. |
