Digital Cameras for the Holidays

The holidays provide a fantastic backdrop for your family photo collection to grow as you capture all of those special moments. If you’ve used a digital camera, you already understand the benefit of finding out right away if you really got the shot you wanted or if you need to shoot again before it’s too late. There are over 200 digital cameras on the market now, so we certainly haven’t reviewed them all. However, we have been using the Kodak models with success. The Kodak LS series has been a real workhorse for us. Our sister company, Universal Expression LLC, has used Kodak LS series cameras for the thousands of pictures taken in all different lights and settings at Prairiefest in Oswego. In addition, due to its versatility, the same Kodak cameras have been used to photograph products for many websites. The only drawback for us has been the slow startup time. However, its long battery life has more than made up for that. The current all-purpose Kodak model is the LS743 which lists for only $349. Add a tripod and a couple of 512 MB SD memory cards and you’re ready to take tons of great photos at all of your family events!
