Many of our clients have computers which no longer fit well in their current network due to any number of factors, such as their speed or capacity. Well, one of our long-standing clients, Archer Manufacturing, is willing to send the best of these machines to their company’s founder’s hometown back in Poland. So far, about 10 machines have been sent over and are being used in a school and a library. The machines should ideally have all expected components (processor, memory, hard drive, CD-ROM drive) and a processor speed of at least 500 MHz. Any information and software currently on the hard drive is completely erased using special software which follows erasure protocols as defined by the Department of Defense. Responsive consultants oversee the erasure and preparation of each machine prior to shipping. This is a great way to get rid of your outdated machines while assisting children who would otherwise not have access to information technology. Feel free to contact me, Keith Wheeler, if you are interested in donating your machines in this manner. kwheeler@responsive.us or 866.RNS.8300. |
